Scribendi.com has won an International Stevie Award for Best Writing/Content for its website and Vice-President Terence Johnson earned a Distinguished Honoree medal for IT Executive of the Year at the 2010 International Business Awards. The International Business Awards are the only all-encompassing global business award program honoring excellent performance in business.

"I'm proud to be able to bring this award home to Chatham-Kent," said Johnson. "Technology-based businesses are the foundation of a sustainable, prosperous future for our city, and I hope this will inspire other young entrepreneurs to take advantage of the opportunities we enjoy here."

Recipients of International Stevie Award trophies were selected from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 40 countries. Honorees were selected through two rounds of judging by business professionals worldwide.

"I am exceptionally proud of our team as I know they have worked very hard at producing quality material for our clients and our website," said Chandra Clarke, president of Scribendi.com. "To see them receive this kind of global recognition is phenomenal."

Nicknamed the Stevie® for the Greek word "crowned," the awards will be presented to honorees at a gala dinner on Monday, September 27th at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. A complete list of winners, honorees, and other details is available at www.stevieawards.com/iba
